Day Care

Age Concern Barnsley has three day centres serving the older people in Barnsley. 

Each  centres provide a friendly stimulating environment, including a hot midday meal and refreshments, a varied activity program and fully qualified support staff. All referrals are via social services. 

These are located at:-

Queens Road, Barnsley  which opens Mon, Wednesday, Thurs and Friday and accommodates 15 people each day, for further information please contact Sharon Pearson on 01226 776820.

Highfield Grange at Wombwell is open Monday to Friday and accommodates 25 people each day, for further information please contact Julie Sabin on 01226 755480.

Penistone Agewell Centre, which is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays,  accommodates 20 poeple each day (There are a limited number of places at Penistone for older people not referred by Social Services, please contact Lynne Wright on 01226 776820 for further information)
