About Us

The charity provides a number of services from its own funds and works in partnership with Social Services and the Primary Care Trust in delivering further services to support the health and social care needs of Barnsley's older population.

Through the efforts and commitment of some 16 full-time and 33 part-time staff, together with a further 100+ regular volunteers we are able to support and provide services to approximately 1500 on a regular basis and an even larger number on an occasional basis through services such as Advice and Information, Hospital After Care and the Home Safety/Handy Person scheme.

Like many charities Age Concern Barnsley relies on donations to fund much of its work.  There are lots of ways you can help us to raise money - and some of them won't even cost you a penny.
